There can be a variety of barriers when it comes to employment. Sometimes, you might not know where to start. Other times, you might need assistance along the way. We are able to provide individuals with support through a number of services that promote job readiness and success in the workplace.
Community-Based Work Assessment
A Community-Based Work Assessment is utilized to assess not only the skills and abilities of the consumer, but also their desire to work in that field. We utilize employers in the community to complete the assessments.
Supported Employment
Supported Employment assists consumers with finding and maintaining employment. This service is individualized to the consumer and their specialized needs.
While searching for a job, we will:
- Help you create or edit your resume
- Build vital interview skills
- Facilitate job searches and completing applications
Once a job is found (based on need), we will also:
- Do on-site job coaching throughout the introductory period*
- Offer continued support at the position to ensure skills are maintained
*If you do not require job coaching, we can provide job mentoring, which allows a consumer to talk through issues at work off-site to find solutions they can implement at work
