TRPIL Health & Wellness
TRPIL promotes self-awareness and self-knowledge as a means to a healthier lifestyle. Through mentoring, resources, and programs, TRPIL can help you to find the knowledge to get healthier and to avoid secondary conditions which threaten your independence.
TRPIL’s fitness center is the launching pad for those interested in increasing their awareness of the positive effects of physical activity. We have universally accessible resistance training equipment and certified staff available to support your fitness goals.
Our gym has adaptive equipment that can be used by people with a wide variety of disabilities, like a rickshaw machine used for improving the strength of muscles used for transfers and wheelchair propulsion, gripping aids for enhancing limited grip or hand function when using wellness equipment, an arm-bike for cardio workouts, and Wii-assisted aerobics exercise and sports.
Personal Training is offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is a free service that we offer. The Wellness Staff will design a program that meets your goals.
Some examples of completed goals are: weight loss, smoking cessation, strength gains for transfers, range of motion improvements, and increased independence.

Wellness Home Visits
The Transitional Paths to Independent Living Wellness program offers FREE health checks and home visits. We are able to tell you your heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, and put together an at-home exercise program using equipment or items you already own.
You can come see us or we can come and see you at your home. The health checks take about 30 minutes.
